The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) has elected Mr. Vasudev Tumbe, Vice-president and CFO of Ssangyong Motor Company, as its new chairman.
Mr. Vasudev Tumbe has taken over the chamber’s chairman post formerly held by Mr. Dilip Sundaram, president of Mahindra Korea starting July 21st.
Mr Tumbe worked with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd for over 30 years and was Vice President, Finance and Accounts, Automotive Division before coming to Korea in 2013 as Vice President & CFO, Ssangyong Motor Company.
In the ICCK Members’ day & Farewell Dinner on July 21, Mr. Vasudev Tumbe commented on his appointment, “India is one of the most promising markets in the world and with the current Governments’ policies and reforms like GST, Indian economy is poised for sustained growth. The timing could not have been better for Korean businesses to go to India and I can see ICCK play a significant role to enhance India Korea trade.” He also said that “I look forward to ICCK continuing to contribute for the next phase of business development between India and Korea.”
