The grand final of World Miss University took place in Warkahill hotel in Seoul on 20th December.
The World Miss University Events have been held annually since it was inaugurated in 1986 to commemorate the UN’s resolution of celebrating
the International Year of Peace, which was established by the United Nations (UN). The contestants for this event competed to be selected
as World Miss University Peace Corp Representatives by presenting themselves in traditional costumes, graduation gowns and beautiful
dresses. In addition, some of the candidates showcased their talents by dancing, singing and playing musical instruments. The winners
will be dispatched to regions in conflict to send a message of peace. Delegates from the Chinese World Miss University organizing committee
attended the event to promote next year’s World Miss University, which will be held in China. The crown for the winner was handed over by
last year’s winner, Miss Cuba, to Miss Costa Rica. She also attended the event as one of the judges alongside Herbert Estuardo Meneses
Coronado, ambassador of Guatemala, Sanghak Ji, president of the Korean Film Industry Labour Federation, and many prominent figures from around the world.
