SHARJAH, 7th April, 2017 (WAM)--The 42nd Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show inaugurated Tuesday at Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has since witnessed heavy numbers of visitors from the GCC region and various countries worldwide, with a tangible increase in sales for participating companies and retailers.
The show is open for visitors until April 8th.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, expressed his delight in the success the show seen in large numbers of visitors from around the globe. "This success is the fruit of excellent organisation and meticulous attention to detail by the organising committee."
Al Midfa invited visitors to take advantage of the presence of the best names and brands in the jewellery industry, including gold, diamond, pearl, and precious stones designers, as well as some of the world leading watchmakers. This presence, Al Midfa continued, is an opportunity for discerned customers to get access to valuable pieces at competitive prices.
On the media side, he reiterated that the show is attracting excellent media coverage from local, pan-Arab, and international media channels, coupled with a remarkable presence on social media, especially with the interest it attracted among social media influences.
A number of seminars and interactive workshops are being conducted in parallel to the show, including an interesting workshop on "Diamond, are they Forever?" by the Gemological Institute of America, one of the leading jewellery institutes in the world.
Two other specialised workshops titled "Get to know Diamonds - A look at Precious Stones" and "An intro to Red and Blue Sapphire’ were also conducted, offering in-depth detail on precious stones and diamonds.
